Kim’s Closet Clothing Bank

Named in honor of our food pantry director, Kim’s Closet is a resource for our patrons who need clothes, shoes, and jackets.  We gratefully accept all donations from the community.

Patrons have access to the clothing bank on Fridays 4:30-7PM during Food Pantry hours.

Brian’s Book Bag

BOOKS3This service project is the result of one volunteer’s dedication to inspire a love of reading in children of all ages.   He was concerned that kids from low-income homes might not have access to books.  Thus, “Brian’s Bookbag” was born.  Brian spends his free time combing thrift stores and yard sales, in search of gently used children’s books to give away.

Patron have access to these books during food pantry hours: Fridays 4:30-7PM.

Project Spy

cache_942483076Project SPY aka Service Project Youth is a week-long mission adventure for middle and high school students & adults. Physically, we are a home repair ministry, making homes safer, warmer and drier, for families in the New River Valley. Spiritually, we seek to be God’s hands and feet in the world. Because of God’s love for us, we are working to love others in tangible ways. Some examples of our projects over the last couple of years include: painting, roofing, replacing gutters, yard work, bridge building, ramps, decks, wiring, paneling, plumbing, flooring, supports, masonry, ceilings, leaky toilets, furniture repair, and clean out closets and more. Yeah… we do lots of stuff!
